RAGFP Hong Kong & Macao Chapter Launch A Success, by PP Mitzi Leung
Rotarians launched the Rotary Action Group for Peace (RAGFP) Hong Kong & Macao Chapter on 4th November 2020 in Exchange Square, Central, Hong Kong. Over 100 Rotarians attended the celebration virtually and physically. ‘We founded the Chapter because of our firm belief in what Rotary could represent. In these trying times, our community needs to be prepared to embrace the new normal,’ says PP Mitzi Leung, Chairperson of the Chapter. ‘The Chapter has a unique and special place to help us to do just that.’
To mark the historical milestone in the peacebuilding story of Rotary, the Chapter hosted the Rotary & Peace Exhibition from 26th October to 6th November 2020, featuring the peacebuilding achievements of Rotary International and Rotary Clubs since the 20th century, the latest Rotary peace projects, and the prospect of a peaceful future. Despite the pandemic, the exhibition remained popular and well-received. Over the course of two weeks, over 280 Rotarians and visitors came to the exhibition.
The RAGFP Hong Kong & Macao Chapter thanks all Rotarians for their support and invites them to continue to support their future initiatives.
