Co-Create SMART PARK Challenge and it’s relevant SDGs Webinar 網絡研討會 – 構建智能公園的可持續發展目標

DVSC hosted a Co-Create SMART PARK Development and it’s relevant SDGs Webinar (構建智能公園的可持續發展目標網絡研討) with 10 Rotary Clubs and 2 Rotaract Clubs on the afternoon of 18th February 2022 successfully with over 340 participants, including students from various universities and secondary schools as well as professionals of different classifications. Together we investigated how to use Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) etc as sustainable development goals to assimilate into the development of a society. This was to echo with this year’s RI theme “Serve to Change Lives” and RI Area of Focus of “Supporting The Environment”.

DVSC and Cyberport have jointly organised Co-create SMART PARK Competition to encourage the youth to promote SDG in society by using technology.

With honour the Seminar was officiated by DG Keith Chow, District Governor of RI District 3450 as Officiating Guest. With Past President (PP) of Rotary Club of Kai Tak, PP Raymond Fan as the Presider, special thanks were given to PP Winnie Ng of Rotary Club of Peninsula as the Guest Speaker. The Seminar started with introduction to the Area of Focus of the Rotary, SDG of the United Nations and ESG; and followed by the synergy of these SDGs with common philosophy. Using Co-create SMART PARK Competition jointly organised by RI District 3450 and Cyberport as an example, it was shared how RI encourages people especially the youth to use technology with reference to SDG and ESG in promoting smark park and to extend these concepts of sustainable development to all walks of the society.

Rotaract and Interact Clubs of RI District 3450 and the cooperating schools can surely make contributions in the area of sustainable development.

We are greatly thankful to the Rotary Club of New Territories (RCNT) and Principal Mr. Chan Yiu Ming of RCNT’s partnering school, South Tuen Mun Government Secondary School and its work team provided technical support contributing to the success of the Seminar. Special thanks to all the co-organising Rotary Clubs, the attending Rotarians, Rotaract, Interact Clubs and also the participating teachers, students and friends.

Serve to Change Life for Youth of Differences (YOD)

The YOD and SEN theme for this Rotary Year is “扶輪多元青年開人生”, with an aim to serve to change life for YOD and SEN. With the collaboration of Work for All, we target to encourage Rotarians and Rotaractors to be equal opportunity employer and commit to create a diverse and inclusive workplace. To further promote these initiatives, a poster was designed and circulated earlier on to solicit rotarians and employers’ support to be inclusive employer.
