61st District Conference Report

The 61^st District Conference was successfully held on June 19-20^th, 2021 at the Regal Airport Hotel, and we would like to thank everyone for participating! 

Under the leadership of Organizing Committee Chair Cassy Cheng, over 400 Rotarians and Rotaractors were able to join together and share their accomplishments over the past year during the conference.  Having a joint conference between Rotarians and Rotaractors this year provided an unique opportunity for us to collaborate more deeply than ever before, and open up more opportunities for cooperation. 

Our underlying theme for the conference was “Health, Supporting the Environment and Peace”.  We were able to incorporate certain aspects of this theme throughout the conference program, and hope that participants gained a better understanding of these key areas of focus.  Special thanks to this year’s Rotary International President’s Personal Representative, our very own Past District Governor Peter Wan, Guest of Honour Professor Francis Chan SBS JP, and keynote speaker Ms. Nicole Tung for  providing compelling and captivating speeches to make this year’s conference a successful and unforgettable one.

Organizing such a large event under the present pandemic conditions was definitely a huge challenge, but the organizing committee worked diligently and we thank all participants for their support and understanding.
