More is Always Better with Membership! This is true for Rotary Clubs, for Areas and for Districts! We, as Rotarians want more people to join because we are proud with what we are contributing to the World and the Community therefore we want more people to share our commitment and the joy of serving.  D3450 and its District Membership Committee are committed to assist every Rotarian to help spread the good news, to invite more people to join Rotary, and to help build our community a better place to live. 

August is EOBO (Each One Bring One) Month, as such we have achieved growth in membership as follows:

Total 63 new members have been inducted in D3450, 19 New Members (Area 9, 2 new members, Area 10, 17 new members) and 44 new members from the remaining Areas.  There is an addition of 6 new Rotaractors in August too!  Presidents and Club Secretaries are reminded to register new members and to guide them to register with My Rotary prior to the application of ‘new member incentives’ with the District Membership Committee.

Chair and Deputy Chair, PDG/CP Eric and CP Jimmy have met with 2 potential Satellite Club Chairs and their potential Charter Members.  Rotary Satellite Club of Rotary Club Abacus Hong Kong Guandong, Chair Eric Ng plus 7 new members has been approved while a third Satellite Club: Rotary Satellite Club of Star Avenue; the Cabinet with 8 new members is in process of application with RI, more exciting news to follow!

11 Sept Saturday is a busy and knowledge packed day, starting with ‘New Member Orientation’ in the morning and in the afternoon, it is the hybrid-Zoom ‘District Membership Seminar – Macau’.  Enrolments are almost completed to full house; participants will gain solid Rotary knowledge and on how to strengthen their Clubs and to grow Rotary.  Both meetings are being hosted by Chair PDG/CP Eric, Deputy Chair CP Jimmy, with Vice Chair CP Kent, hosting the meeting at Macau Tower with over 20+ Rotarians.  Another membership event to look out for is October 22^nd Friday,Rotary Happy Hour, details to be announced!

A very important International Signature Event for Membership and Branding host by RI President Shekhar is the Rotary International Presidential Conference Manila to be held online for Asia Pacific’s 18+ countries and territories, from November 26, 27 and 28 2021.  Early bird Registration ends with first 6000 Rotarians for USD20, act now and join other Rotarians to learn more to grow Rotary!

Rotary International launches new membership recognition program:

To recognize those who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment and success in growing our membership, we have launched a new recognition program. The Membership Society for New Member Sponsors is a virtual gallery for those members who have sponsored 25 or more new members. Members can achieve different tiers of recognition as they continue to sponsor more members.

The recognition levels are:

Bronze Level: Sponsored 25-29 members

Silver Level: Sponsored 30-49 members

Gold Level: Sponsored 50-74 members

Platinum Level: Sponsored 75+ members

To be included in the Membership Society, an individual has to have sponsored 25 or more new members, and have reported those sponsorships to Rotary. New member sponsorship can only be between active members in the same club, and does not include charter members of a new club.
