RI District 3450 is committed to promoting youth development. Through supporting teenagers to participate in various experiential activities, RI District 3450 facilitates students to communicate with others and develop leadership skills, as well as raising awareness of local and global issues, thereby promoting international goodwill and peace. It was of our utmost pleasure to pair up with “Rotary Club of New Territories’s Rotary Adopt a School Program” in 2019. With the tremendous support from RC New Territories, our school held numerous activities which broadened students’ horizons. On 20 May 2022, Mr Keith CHOW, the District Governor of RI District 3450, accompanied by Mr Peter LAU, President of RC New Territories, led district leaders of RI District 3450 to visit South Tuen Mun Government Secondary School and joined the Opening Ceremony of the Annual Open Days, in support of the school to promote positive values education. Honorable guests included Peter PANG, Past District Governor of RI District 3450 and Peace Committee Chair; Dr. Eric CHAK, Immediate Past District Governor; Dr. Norman LEE, District Governor-elect; Andy LI, District Governor-nominee; Nigel LO, District Governor-nominee Designate; Joseph YIM, Deputy District Secretary and Past President of RC New Territories; Francis CHAN, Deputy District Secretary and Immediate Past President of RC New Territories; Past President Derrick WONG, Chairman of Peace Camp Organizing Committee; Adrian KWONG, Youth Outreach Manager, Li Po Chun United World College of HK as well as other Rotary Friends.

The first and happiest moment was the unveiling of RC New Territories Mural led by honorable guests. The colorful mural painting marked the milestone of collaboration between RC New Territories and STMGSS, promoting love, peace, environmental protection and sustainable development. The district leaders from RI District 3450 and RC New Territories officiated the Opening Ceremony of Annual Open Days, witnessing the success of student participants of Peace Camp. District Governor Mr Keith CHOW addressed the school in the ceremony, sharing the achievements of RI District 3450 and how to serve to change lives, followed by the speech by President Mr Peter LAU, encouraging students to pursue excellence and serve the community. After that, there was the speech by Principal Arnett Edwards from Li Po Chun United World College of HK, sharing the takeaways of STMGSS students from the Peace Camp. We express our deep gratitude to RI District 3450 and RC New Territories for their unfailing support which enables our students to experience a fruitful and joyous school life.

國際扶輪3450地區致力推動青少年發展，透過支持青年積極參與各項體驗活動，國際扶輪3450地區讓學子相互交流並發展領導能力，透過關心地區及國際議題，從而促進國際親善及友誼。我校非常榮幸於2019年成為新界扶輪社「與校同行」計劃合作伙伴，多年來獲新界扶輪社鼎力支持舉辦多個活動，擴闊了學生的視野。2022年5月20日，國際扶輪3450地區總監周基業在新界扶輪社社長劉旭陪同下率領一眾地區領袖親臨南屯門官立中學參與周年開放日，支持我校推廣正向價值觀教育，嘉賓包括國際扶輪3450前地區總監及地區和平委員會主席彭志宏醫生、國際扶輪3450地區剛卸任總監翟慶聰醫生、國際扶輪3450地區候任總監李德利博士、國際扶輪3450地區總監提名人李兆民、國際扶輪3450地區總監提名指定人羅承益、國際扶輪3450地區副地區秘書及新界扶輪社前社長嚴偉豪、國際扶輪3450地區副地區秘書及新界扶輪社剛卸任社長陳志雄、和平營會籌委會主席前社長黃樹源、香港李寶椿聯合世界書院青少年項目統籌鄺之行及其他扶輪社社友。

打響頭炮的是新界扶輪社壁畫揭幕禮，由一眾貴賓主持，繽紛的壁畫標誌着新界扶輪社與本校合作的里程碑，並宣揚愛與和平以及環保及可持續發展的訊息。國際扶輪社3450地區及新界扶輪社領袖更主持接續的南官開放日開幕典禮，見證着學生參與「和平營會」的豐碩成果。主禮嘉賓周基業總監率先致辭，分享國際扶輪社3450地區的成就以及如何以服務改善人生，緊接着新界扶輪社劉旭社長致辭，他鼓勵學生追求卓越、服務社群。之後，由香港李寶椿聯合世界書院艾德華校長致辭，分享南屯官學生營友在「和平營會」的得着。本校再次感謝國際扶輪3450地區及新界扶輪社的支持，讓學生經歷精采愉快的校園生活。
